Conveyancing
When immovable property is sold, it has to go through a registration process before ownership of the property can change hands.
In order to complete this process, the title deed needs to be transferred into the new owner’s name to ensure the certainty of the owner’s title to the property that he or she has had purchased, and this would require the service of a conveyancing attorney.
Antenuptial Contracts (ANC)
An Antenuptial Contract (ANC) is a contract entered into by two people before their marriage. … This is also known as being married “out of community of property.” Each spouse usually retains their separate property and have complete freedom to deal with that property as they choose.
Deceased Estates
A deceased estate comes into existence when a person dies leaving property or a document which is a will or purports to be a will.
Last will and Testaments
A will, also known as a testament, is a document in which a person sets out what must happen to their estate when they die. A person’s estate consists of all their assets (belongings, property) and liabilities (debts) which they had as at date of death.
